I initially got this book because it came up as one I may like. After looking at reviews and yes, the cover art, I decided to purchase it and oh my God. Absolutely loved this book. The story has some twists you don't really see coming, it was well written and captivating. I read it over 2 days, but only because I had to work and sleep otherwise I would have done it in one go. Absolutely would recommend.
I freaking loved this book!I didn't think the 90's nostalgia would hit me so hard but I was wrong. Wow.Sometimes you read a book and think "obviously, the author wrote this with me in mind". This is one of those books for me.This whole book sort of gave me that 90's teenage revenge slasher vibe. Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer. Those types. And the pacing was perfect for my attention span. Which is short. Shout out to the author for writing ADHD-friendly 6 page chapters!I will absolutely be reading more Andrew Van Wey.Suddenly I have the urge to listen to Better Than Ezra while I finish some housework.
