I loved the creeptastic Elder God cosmic horror vibe. While it didn’t give me nightmares, it delivered plenty of vivid, unsettling imagery to entertain my brain and left me with lots to think about long after I finished reading. I’ll definitely be back for more!
Filled with great characters you want to root for. A blend of stranger things and Stephen King with some really moving scenes. Will be reading the next instalment.
This was a great book could not put it down soooo good can't wait to start the next book. Hope it's as good as this nook
By the Light of Dead Stars by Andrew Van Wey is an eerie and gripping horror tale set against the haunting backdrop of Greywood Bay. It delves deep into loss, trauma, and a cosmic terror that threatens to tear a community apart. As Zelda Ruiz and her uncle Mark try to rebuild their lives after a devastating tragedy, they encounter an ancient evil lurking beneath the surface, threatening not only their new life but the very fabric of reality. This book was an absolute masterpiece. Andrew Van Wey has created a horror story that’s not only terrifying but also deeply emotional. The tension builds as Zelda and Mark face both internal and external horrors, and the atmosphere is wonderfully crafted, making the Lost Coast feel like a character of its own. The way cosmic horror blends with personal trauma adds layers to the story, making it both scary and touching. I loved it so much that I immediately downloaded the sequel—can’t wait to dive in! Definitely a 5/5 star read for any horror fan.
